We follow the flow of the Molopo River from the “eye” to the Orange River. The main goal is the real Kalahari Dunes and we visit the wonder of the hot spring at Riemvasmaak. Starting at Molopo Eye, we will follow the river past Bray and the Botswana border. We visit Molopo Nature Reserve, surrounded with giant camel thorns and the vast grass savannah, this is home to many species of wildlife. We stop over at a typical kalahari farm and get ourselves familiar with dune driving. On our way to our next camp in the sand dunes, we stop at the well-known Molopo Lodge for a drink. At Lochmaree we pitch camp for two nights, to fully enjoy the dunes. We will do a 50km 4×4 trail to fully appreciate the Kalahari. After our playtime in the dunes, we travel past Noenieput down to Riemvasmaak, situated between Augrabies falls and the southern Kalahari. This is an amazing mountainous desert type wonderland.
